Boyce Avenue, a pop-rock band that lays claim to being the biggest indie band on YouTube, has signed with digital entertainment company Collective Digital Studio to be part of CDS’ multichannel network.
The band, formed by brothers Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano, joined YouTube in 2007. Boyce Avenue now has more than 7 million subscribers and recently surpassed 2 billion video views to date, making the No. 2 band overall on YouTube after Maroon 5.
“It’s great to work with a band as digitally savvy as Boyce Avenue,” CDS VP of music Dana Shayegan said. “They understand the digital space and know how to put on a show for their massive audience.”
The Sarasota, Fla.-based brothers have distributed the band’s music through their own 3 Peace Records label since parting ways with Universal Republic Records in 2010. On 3 Peace Records, the acoustically inclined rockers have sold 400,000 albums and 5.3 million digital tracks, and their songs have been streamed nearly 450 million times.

In a statement, the band members said the partnership with CDS will “push things to a new level” with more content.
“We joined YouTube only two years after its launch before being a YouTube star was a thing,” the Manzano brothers said. “It’s been amazing to see how appreciative and receptive all our followers have been worldwide.”
Earlier this month, German broadcasting giant ProSieben.1 acquired a majority stake in Collective Digital Studio. ProSieben is merging CDS with its Studio71 multichannel network.
CDS’ network of music channels feature bands and artists including UKF Dubstep, singer-songwriter Madilyn Bailey and All Trap Music. CDS recently partnered with Insomniac, creators of the Electric Daisy Carnival music festival, and Pitchfork, the leading voice in emerging and independent music of all genres music. The CDS music network currently manages 10,000-plus music copyrights generating more than 350 million views on YouTube per month.
Boyce Avenue is managed by Free Association Management.
